What the 17–0 Challenge asks you to do

Each round presents a region and type. Choose a matching Pokémon and place it into an open football position. Finish all 22 starters, then run a simulated 17-game season. The goal is to finish 17–0.

The All pool covers Gen 1–9; the Retro pool covers Gen 1–4. You may draft up to three Legendaries in this mode. Pool and formation lock for the run. The displayed Legendary counter tells you how many of the three you have used.

  1. Open the game and select the 17–0 Challenge tab.
  2. Select All or Retro, your defensive front and Fullback or Slot. Press Start run.
  3. Read the rolled region and type, choose a matching Pokémon and inspect your open roles.
  4. Commit the pick to an open field position. Repeat until all 22 are filled.
  5. Complete the season, read the record and Team Score, and use New run for a fresh attempt.

Worked decision: one fast, strong candidate

Suppose a roll offers a Pokémon with strong Attack and Speed, and you still need HB, DE and OL. Attack + Speed are key at both HB and DE. OL instead depends on Defense + Weight. First compare whether a later candidate is likely to cover each remaining role; then put this player into the important gap you can solve now. A high offensive stat total alone is not the right reason to fill OL.

For a Psychic QB choice, Alakazam’s public stats are 135 Sp. Atk, 95 Sp. Def and 120 Speed. Its Psychic type is listed among the QB nudges. It is a concrete candidate to compare with your other eligible pick; availability still depends on the actual round and chosen generation pool.

Read score and season as separate results

Team Score is out of 1,000 and reflects role fits with unequal position influence. QB is the most important single spot, while the five offensive linemen together count more. Defensive ends and cornerbacks carry the strongest defensive influence. The weakest fits add extra penalties.

Retro and 151 use their own score scales. Compare scores within the same challenge rather than treating a number from a different pool as equivalent. The exact fit formula and season probabilities are not public; a high score does not establish a guaranteed unbeaten record.

The game shows type/region reroll controls. Inspect the remaining allowances in the live round before using them; we do not claim an unlimited reroll rule.

When a run appears on the leaderboard

The game offers X sign-in for posting runs. Its published text says X accounts must be at least 30 days old; while signed in, finished runs are posted and the board keeps the best. The board distinguishes 17–0, Retro and 151 challenges and Today versus All-time. Signing into the game is separate from this guide, which has no login.
