All22 Franchise Guide: Start, Generations, Import & Save
Start a solo All22 Franchise, choose Retro or all nine generations, import a Builder team, and keep progress with account saves or exports.
REVIEWED OCTOBER 18, 2026 · PUBLIC SOURCES + EXPLAINED TRADEOFFS
Retro uses Gen 1–4; All uses Gen 1–9. A complete Builder team with any Gen 5–9 Pokémon makes the new league All automatically. Account sync and a full-franchise file are separate ways to continue elsewhere.
Open Franchise and choose a start
Open Franchises on the creator’s game, choose FRANCHISE on the ALL-22 PRO title screen, or use the crown menu item and the game selector. A solo Franchise is a continuing 32-team league with 17-game seasons, 14-team playoffs and the Indigo Bowl.
At New franchise → Start, choose one of three starts:
| Start option | What you choose | What carries into the season |
|---|---|---|
| Take over a team | Any of the 32 Gym Leader teams. | Its roster, contracts and cap position. You can customize its name, colors and logo. |
| Bring your team | A complete Builder or My teams lineup from any generation, then the gym it replaces. | Its starters join at market-value contracts. A Gen 5–9 Pokémon automatically makes this franchise All. |
| Fantasy Draft | The gym you draft for. | A 53-round draft across all 32 teams: you pick for yours, the CPU for the other 31. |
This is the solo Franchise Fantasy Draft, which creates a continuing 32-team league. The separate 3–6-team Fantasy Draft ends in a shared season broadcast. Franchise leagues with friends are another mode and require sign-in.
Finish Team, then set the Pokémon generations
- After choosing a start, complete Team. For Bring your team, select the saved lineup on the same browser where it is stored; choose the gym, review its identity and select Next.
- In Settings, choose Generations above Difficulty. Retro means Gen 1–4 (493 Pokémon); All means Gen 1–9 (1,025 Pokémon). This choice is fixed when the franchise is created.
- All starts with mixed-generation starters across every gym, at the same strength, while each gym keeps its name, Gym Leader and type. Benches, free agents and draft classes can use all 1,025 Pokémon. In an All league, Gen 1–4 Pokémon can evolve into later-generation forms. Existing franchises stay Retro and continue under their original rules.
- A Builder lineup containing any Gen 5–9 Pokémon locks the new franchise to All. Retro only accepts Gen 1–4 lineups. Complete lineups and one-of-a-kind Legendary limits still apply; if an imported lineup has no kicker, the gym keeps its kicker.
- Choose the difficulty. Standard is the recommended rules option; Custom exposes individual settings such as salary cap. Check the selected generations, team and saved name in Ready to start, then select Start the franchise or Start the draft. Takeover/import opens Home; a Fantasy Draft opens its draft room first.
The first visit offers a tour. Later, use Franchises in the side menu, or More → Franchises on a phone.
If a Builder team is missing or cannot be selected
- Use the browser where the lineup is available. The picker reads this device’s Builder and My teams saves. If none appear, open the Builder, create or load the team there, then return. Our Builder guide explains named saves and account access.
- Match its Pokémon generations to the league. Gen 1–4 lineups fit Retro or All; any Gen 5–9 Pokémon requires All, which is selected for you. The game identifies an incomplete lineup or a repeated Legendary rather than accepting it.
- Budget for market-value players. Under the standard salary-cap rules, the cap starts at $250 million. An imported roster does not make its players free.
On Home, complete the readiness list before Week 1: get under the cap when enabled, trim the active roster to 45 and keep at most 8 on the practice squad. Use Contracts & cap to inspect player costs and cut/trade consequences; a cut can leave dead money. Custom rules can turn the cap off. An over-cap team can cut its way down, except when the dead money would still leave it over the cap. Once ready, choose Play in ALL-22 PRO, Watch or Sim for the next game.
Continue on another device with account saves
- Sign in to the intended game account. Open Account and finish its setup prompts, including the age question if requested. Google, Discord and X are the documented sign-in choices.
- Check the save status and time before switching. Account saves happen automatically—usually a few minutes after play and after a game or season phase; there is no manual save button. The game also tries to send recent changes when you leave. The franchise card shows Saved to your account and when; Saved on this device means it is not confirmed in the account yet.
- On the second device, use the same account. Open Franchises. Under In your account, choose Open here for the intended save, then Open or Continue.
The account keeps the 5 most recently played franchises, with their latest two seasons. Older seasons stay on the device where they were played and in exports. Each device holds up to five local franchises; export one before removing a slot you want to keep.
If a save is too large or still waiting to upload, the other device can say that newer progress is waiting on the device where you played it. Return to that device, reconnect and check its account-save status before continuing elsewhere. On a shared computer, if the card says the franchise backs up to another account, use the game’s Move this franchise to your account? confirmation only when that is intended; the other account keeps its existing copy.
Keep a file backup and handle conflicting progress
On Franchises, the team card’s Export saves the whole franchise, including its season archive. On the destination browser, use Import and select that file. This also transfers a career without an account; a Builder lineup image or roster link is a different export.
If the same franchise changed on both devices since they last matched, the game asks Which progress do you keep? Compare the device and account season/week and time. Choosing one replaces the other copy; it does not merge them. Choose Decide later and export the device copy first if you want to preserve it.
Without sign-in, progress stays in that browser. Keep an exported file before clearing site data or retiring the original device. If startup or import reports an error, preserve the file and record the game’s message before removing any save.
